Food & Beverage Manager Fortune Bay Casino Tower MN The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for managing front of house operations for the Tamarack, Banquets, and Bar, which includes scheduling and staffing team members according to the needs of the business, management of team members to ensure performance of job functions is effective and efficient and a high quality of customer service is consistently demonstrated, guest inquiries and concerns are handled in a prompt and courteous manner, and all locations are operating in a cost-effective manner that meet or exceed the department budget. The incumbent will establish steps of service for all departments and provide training, feedback, and performance evaluations to monitor team member productivity and development. In addition, the Food and Beverage Manager will optimize revenues by developing and implementing marketing initiatives to promote food, beverage, and gaming revenues. QUALIFICATIONS: The Food and Beverage Manager is required to have a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts with a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or management experience in the Food and Beverage industry or a minimum of five (5) years experience as a Food and Beverage Manager or equivalent position. The following will also apply to the position: " Strong customer service background with the ability to interact well with internal and external guests to achieve positive outcomes for the property and guests of the facility " Solid knowledge of Food and Beverage, along with Banquet and Catering operations and trends within the industries " Knowledge of marketing practices within the food and beverage industries with the ability to develop and implement marketing initiatives to increase revenues " Strong computer background with skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software programs; ability to gather and analyze data and information and create reports and graphs; experience with MICROS is preferred " Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, interpret information, and convey information to team members and customers in a concise and timely manner " Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and make sound decisions or solve problems based on company standards and policies and procedures; ensure conflicts are resolved in a professional and timely manner " Solid leadership skills to motivate and cultivate a team-oriented environment and culture " Highly organized with an attention to detail and the ability to set and meet deadlines " Self-motivated with the ability to maintain a positive attitude while performing and directing various tasks " Highly adaptable with a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks in a timely manner and in a rapidly changing environment " Ability to responsibly manage budget by maintaining knowledge in food and beverage cost control systems and waste reduction management, along with monitoring expenditures, wages, and inventory " Strong background and knowledge of food service sanitation, safe food handling, and health codes, along with State liquor; awareness of safety regulations and loss prevention methods " Knowledge of food and beverage purchasing, along with preparation and service TO APPLY: Applicants must submit a cover letter and resume highlighting work experience to: Director of Human Resources Fortune Bay Resort Casino 1430 Bois Forte Road Tower, MN 55790 Email bpeterson@fortunebay.com 218-753-6484
